Obituary for Diane Maria D'Andrea

Diane Maria  D'Andrea
Diane M. D’Andrea, 80, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at her daughter’s home in Point Pleasant, NJ. Diane’s family was migrated through Ellis Island from Italy. Diane was born in Brooklyn, making her the only child in her family to be born in the United States. She was raised in Union City and graduated from Union Hill High School. She raised her family in Palisades Park and lived there for many years before moving to North Miami Beach, Florida where she lived for 28 years. When Diane returned to NJ she resided at Pheasant Run in Barnegat, NJ alongside many of her cherished childhood friends. While living there she was an active member of the adult community. Afterwards Diane moved to Point Pleasant, NJ under the care of her daughter Tracy. Diane had worked as a secretary for many years and was also self-employed as an Accessory Specialist. She enjoyed bowling, boating, dancing and playing a dice game called LCR. She loved going to Atlantic City and the movies, her favorite being The Titanic.
Diane was predeceased by her four siblings, Toni Molil, Dominic D’Andrea, Albert D’Andrea and Louie D’Andrea. She is survived by two daughters Tracy Galik of Point Pleasant, NJ and Susan Delaney of Palisades Park, NJ. Diane is also survived by three grandchildren Heather Barden and her husband Chris of Las Vegas, NV, Billy Galik and his wife Jessica of San Diego, CA and Melissa Delaney and her husband Joe Langenstien of Wallington, NJ; four cherished great grandchildren Seth Barden, Sage Barden, Gwyneth Galik and Little Billy Galik.
Diane was known for her love of life, sense of humor and contagious laughter. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. God has a beautiful angel now.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Sunday, December 10, 2017 from 1 – 5 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ 08736, with a funeral service to begin at 4:30 pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mary’s Place by the Sea, a local organization helping women with cancer, 22 Main Avenue, Ocean Grove, NJ 07756, www.marysplacebythesea.org or Pick Your Paw Animal Rescue to honor Diane’s love of animals, 450 Shrewsbury Plaza #129, Red Bank, NJ 07701, www.pickyourpaw.org.
