Rose (Andaloro) O’Hern, 79, of Neptune NJ, passed away December 25 in the early morning surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. She was born in Syracuse, NY, graduated North High School and was a communicant at Christ the King Church in Liverpool, NY. Moving to New Jersey in 1981, Rose recently completed her first college course at Rutgers University, attending a class with her granddaughter. She was a long time communicant of St. Rose Parish in Belmar NJ and a member of the Belmar Fishing Club. Rose was extremely devoted to her family and very proud of her grandchildren. She loved watching their sporting events, plays, fishing, gardening, cooking, working with stained glass, was a lifelong NY Mets Fan and tennis player. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, William O’Hern, Sr.; her parents Nancy and Joseph Andaloro, siblings Nancy, Sebastian, Salvatore, Maria, Mary (Benedetti) and Albert Andaloro. She is survived by her siblings John Andaloro and Carmela Porpiglio; her daughters and sons, Kelly O’Hern, Kathleen and Peter Gilbert, Julie and William O’Hern, Jr. and Patrick O’Hern; grandchildren Shannon, Sean and Patrick Gilbert; William, Daniel, Timothy and Johnathon O’Hern.
A funeral Mass in celebration of Rose’s life will be at St. Rose Parish, 603 7th Avenue, Belmar, NJ on 11 am on Tuesday, December 27th and at Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle, Liverpool, NY on Thursday December 29, at 1:30pm followed by an interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 4100 E. Genesee St, Syracuse, NY.
