Marjorie (Marge) C. Byrne, 100, joined her husband Walter Sr., and son Walter Jr. and son-in-law, Eugene P. Dowling in eternal rest on January 14, 2017. She passed away peacefully in Ocean Grove. Marge was born and lived in Long Island New York for most of her life, before moving to Rockland County, NY where she resided for more than 40 years.
Marge is survived by her daughter Margaret Dowling, 5 grandchildren: Christine and her husband Steve Grabow, Kathleen Dowling and her husband David Valiaveedan, Michael Dowling, Elizabeth Dowling, and Margaret Dowling-Murphy and her husband Kevin Murphy, 11 great grandchildren: Stephanie and her husband Emidio Scarfogliero, Lynn Grabow, Elizabeth, Christopher and Elena Valiaveedan, Erin, Sean, and Kate Dowling, Colleen, Brendan, and Emmet Murphy, and 1 great great grandchild Giuliana Elyse Scarfogliero.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday January 20, 2017 at 11 am at St. Margaret’s Church 300 Ludlow Avenue, Spring Lake, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Charles’ Cemetery Farmingdale NY. Arrangements are under the care of the Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital P.O.
