Theresa C. Molkenbur (Giannantonio), 84 of Lakewood passed away from a brief illness on Tuesday January 24, 2017, with her children by her side. Terry was born in New York, moved on to Palisades Park, and settled in Carteret with her family before moving into Lakewood. She was a caring, loving and devoted wife, mother and friend to many. She was in charge of a woman’s clothing store for many years.
Terry was predeceased by her husband Nicholas Giannantonio after a battle with cancer early in life. She is survived by her husband William, her daughter Debra and her husband Erik Christensen of Little Egg Harbor, her son Edward Giannantonio and his partner of 24 years Richard McConney of Ocean Grove, and her step-grandson Bryan and his wife Kaycee Christensen and their family of Jacksonville, Florida.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday January 30, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at the Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan. A Mass of Christian Origin will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Martha’s Church, 3800 Herbertsville Road, Point Pleasant Beach. Donations are being accepted in Theresa’s name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, P.O. Box 27106, New York, NY 10087-7106.
