Mary Agnes Knox, 86 of Manahawkin formerly of Manasquan passed away on Monday June 12, 2017 at Genesis Health Care. Mary was born in Manhattan, NY and raised in Newark, NJ (Roseville section) before moving to the shore area and living in Manasquan since 1971 until three years ago when she moved to Manahawkin. Mary was the corresponding secretary for the Women of Irish Heritage, Jersey Shore, past president of the Manasquan Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Mary enjoyed traveling with her sister-in-law and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her two brothers James Francis Russell Jr. and Dr. John Joseph Russell. She is survived by her sister and her husband Maura and James Cunney of Nottingham, England; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Greg and the late Rose Ellen Knox of Barnegat and their children Kim Ellen (Matt), Amy (Robert), Jodi (Jim); Bill and Linda Knox of West Long Branch and their children Lauren, Kyle and Kourtney; James and Shirley Knox of Virginia Beach, VA and their children Ronnie, Cheryl, Terri Lynn and Andrea; Jane Knox of Belmar and her children Linda, Kathy, Gary and Jamie; sister-in-law Beverly Knox of Wall. Mary is also survived by a nephew Brendan and a niece Shibon and many other relatives and a host of friends.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday June 19, 2017 from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan.
