Obituary for Josephine Ventura (Scarpinato)

Josephine T. Ventura, 84 of Brick passed away on Wednesday June 28, 2017 at her home with her beloved family by her side. Josephine was born and raised in Manhattan, NYC. Josephine moved to Union City in 1957 and then to Secaucus in 1967 before moving to Brick in 2000. Josephine’s passion was dancing especially with her husband. She was an excellent seamstress and a great cook. Josephine loved to play cards and enjoyed her many trips to Atlantic City where she played the Jackpot Party slot machine. She enjoyed life and her family meant the world to her.

Josephine was predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years Lincoln Ventura in 2015; her two loving daughters Grace Erbe and her spouse Wes Moon of Brielle and Ines and her husband Tommy Mongelli of Riverdale, NJ; her four cherished grandchildren Stephanie, Alexandria, Christopher and Michael. Josephine is also survived by a brother and his wife Mario and Gloria Scarpinato of Toms River.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday July 3 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan. A funeral service will be held 8 pm Monday at funeral home. Please no flowers instead you may make a memorial donation to Alzheimer’s Association 400 Morris Avenue Suite 251 Denville, NJ 07834.
