Francis X. Riegler, 87 of Manasquan passed away peacefully on Sunday July 2, 2107 at Sunnyside Manor, Wall. Francis was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. There he graduated from St. Peter’s Prep and St Peter’s College, where he was a standout athlete in college basketball. Francis served in the U.S. Army Reserves during the Korean War. He was a pharmaceutical salesman for over 30 years for Upjohn Company. Francis had lived along with his wife, Winifred Joan, and family in Wood-Ridge and Holmdel N.J. before moving to Four Seasons of Wall in 1997. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with his wife. Family was the most important thing in his life. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren and all their accomplishments.
Francis was predeceased by his wife of 54 years W. Joan Riegler in 2011 and a brother, Joseph Riegler. He is survived by his five sons and their families, Francis X Riegler MD and his wife Alessandra Amadeo MD of Malibu, CA, Christopher FX Riegler MD and his wife Lorri of West Harrison, NY, Andrew FX Riegler and his wife Cheryl of Marlboro, Robert FX Riegler of Austin, TX and Gregory FX Riegler of Farmingdale, NJ. Francis is also survived by his seven cherished grandchildren, Krista (Frank) Pasqualino, Kaitlin, Laura, Christian, Michaela, Ian and Alec.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday July 7, 2017 at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan.
