Virginia A. Algor, 80 of Toms River passed away on Thursday August 24, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River with her family by her side. Virginia was born and raised at the Jersey Shore and retired to Virginia before moving to Toms River. Virginia had worked her whole life in various jobs and retired from Central Jersey Bank. In her spare time Virginia enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Virginia thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Virginia was predeceased by husband Jonathan Algor, her parents Ann and Howard Megill and a daughter-in-law Marcella Algor. She is survived by her loving children Jonathan “Jack” Algor of East Islip, NY; Michael (Georgianna) Algor of Farmingdale, NJ; Jeffrey (Kathleen) Algor of Spring Lake Heights and Kim (Michael) Popek of Toms River, NJ. Virginia is also survived by her 8 cherished grandchildren Jonathan (Monica), Justin (Farabe’), Michael, Jeffrey, Michael, Jenny, Taylor and Jake; 6 great grandchildren Jack, Chase, Hudson, Thayer, Luke and Annaleigh. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Sharon (Porter) Adcock of Wall.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Monday August 28, 2017 from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan with a funeral service to begin at 7 pm.
