Joseph M. Lynch, 77 of Toms River passed away peacefully on August 25, 2017 with his wife Mary Joan by his side. He was born in Newark, NJ and lived in Summit and Gillette before moving to Toms River 9 years ago. Joseph proudly served in the US Army and retired as a 50 year member of the Carpenters Union Local 349. Joseph was an avid golfer. He was well liked and loved by everyone who encountered him. He enjoyed making people laugh, especially children.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents Helen and Joseph Lynch, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Mary Joan nee Dougherty Lynch ; his brother Robert Lynch of Freehold Township ; a sister Eileen DiNorscio of Springfield, NJ. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday August 29, 2017 from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 am at St. Luke’s Church 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River on Wednesday August 30, 2017. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
