Obituary for Carl Virgilio

Carl D. Virgilio, 77 of Brick passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. Carl was born and raised in Elizabeth, NJ and was a graduate of St. Mary of the Assumption Grammar School, Jefferson High School and Bloomfield College. Carl was a self-employed Real Estate Broker for over two decades, receiving multiple recognitions throughout his career. Later, Carl became a registered nurse and worked in the emergency room for various trauma hospitals in Philadelphia. In his spare time Carl was a prolific photographer. He was very proud that Hagstrom Maps purchased one of his photos to be the cover for the Ocean County Map Edition. He also enjoyed watching sports and participating in multiple bowling leagues.

Carl is survived by a son Richard Virgilio and Sophie Stach Virgilio, Richard’s mother both of Ocean Township, NJ. He is also survived by two beloved brothers Vincent (Sharon) Virgilio of Cobleskill, NY and Raymond (Maureen) Virgilio of Alexandria, VA; a cherished cousin Elaine (Bill) Matrician of Chester, NJ and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 12 pm to 2 pm with a funeral service to begin at 1:30 pm.
