Louis Rossilli, 90 of Brick, NJ, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was born in New York City and was raised in Newark, NJ. Louis was a graduate of Central High School and attended Newark College of Engineering. Later, he was one of the contractors for the renovation of college when it was renamed New Jersey Institute of Technology. He was a salesman for Ware Windows of Linden, NJ for several years before starting his own companies, Fenestra Erectors and Specialized Windows in the mid 1960’s. Louis retired and moved to the Jersey Shore in 1980 where he managed his many real estate holdings, travelled extensively with his wife, and experienced the joy of welcoming 13 grandchildren into his family. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed boating and was a master craftsman. Family and friends counted on Louis for his excellent counsel in financial, construction, and other life matters. Louis was very devoted to his wife, Lita, his children, and his extended family and was especially happy when all were gathered at his beautiful and welcoming home.
Louis was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Carmelita “Lita” Rossilli in 2014 and is also predeceased by 9 siblings. He is survived by his five loving daughters and three sons-in-law; Noreen and Frank Baris of Brick, NJ, Diane and Ralph Cardillo of Tewksbury, NJ, Mary Jean “MJ” Rossilli-Mitchell of Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, Pia Solywoda of Hawaii and Lois and Ted Koziol of Brick, NJ. He is also survived by his 13 cherished grandchildren; Mary, Ralph, Marisa, Jen, Pia, Michaela, Tommy, Louis, Mary Jean, Carly, Jordan, Austin and Zachary, two brothers and a sister-in-law; Pia Kazan of New York City, Anthony and Rayma Rossilli of Brick, NJ and Gus Rossilli of California.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday January 22, from 4-8 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road, Manasquan, NJ. On Tuesday, January 23, visiting will be from 10 - 11 am at the funeral home, immediately followed by a brief service beginning at 11 am.
