Obituary for Helen M Wobser (Murphy)

Helen (nee Murphy) Wobser, 93 of Wall passed away on Saturday March 24, 2018 at Preferred Care of Wall. Helen was born in West New York, NJ on June 25, 1924. The “Murphy” family migrated to the U.S.A. from Nova Scotia. Helen worked the machine line for Crocker and Wheeler, East Orange, NJ which was a World War II defense plant from 1940-1945. Helen was very active as a Board Member of the NJ Association for the Blind, Wall Chapter and Executive Director at Camp Happiness, Leonardo, NJ for many years.

Helen was predeceased by her husband Heinz Wobser; her parents Brian and Helen Murphy; her two brothers and two sisters. She is survived by a nephew and his wife Max and Joan Wobser of Wall and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are under the care of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. Memorial donations may be made to Camp Happiness, NJ Association for the Blind 18 Burlington Avenue Leonardo, NJ 07757. A memorial gathering will be held at a later date for family and friends.
