Ruth Hatcher, 89 of Manasquan passed away on Monday April 30, 2018 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune with her family by her side. Ruth was born in West Belmar and was a lifelong resident of the shore area. Ruth was a graduate of Manasquan High School. She worked for the government as a librarian for various military bases here in the United States and abroad. Ruth attended West Belmar United Methodist Church as a child. She volunteered at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Ruth was an avid reader and loved all types of animals especially cats.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband James Hatcher, her parents Harry and Frances Flintoff and a brother Harry Flintoff. She is survived by her two daughters and their husbands Patricia and Glenn Pringle of Wall and Lori and Craig Reid of Wall. Ruth is also survived by her sister Doris Pinon of Oregon, seven grandchildren Bruce (Jennifer) Cottrell, Kevin Cottrell, Tyler Pringle, James Reid, Amanda Pringle, Christian Reid and Mitchell Reid, two great grandchildren Braelyn and Keenan Cottrell and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday May 5, 2018 from 1-2 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan.
